Jamie Calderon

Born into a Puerto Rican family, this salsero hails from the great city of New York. He's "young" enough to remember seeing "LIVE" the great salsa artist of yesteryear. Legends like Tito Puente, Hector LaVoe, Fania-All Stars, Celia Cruz, and many others. Salsa has been in his life from the time he was born. In fact, when his mother went into labor, she was dancing salsa just hours before at a house party!! He danced "the hustle" professionally during the height of that era. He arrived in Indianapolis in 1999. Ever since his arrival he has been a great supporter of all "Salsa" events in the area. He has networked on many occasions to make any Salsa event a great one. He is actively refreshing his salsa dancing in the IntoSalsa instructional classes. Salsa is a great part of his life. He is enjoying meeting all the wonderful people who come out and enjoy the great feelings Salsa brings. He states, "Don't be afraid to say hi if you see me!!"
