Edgar Ibanez

hola salseros y salseras, my name is Edgar Ibanez. I'm associated owner of an auto repair shop, Ibanez Auto Services, and member of the Hispanic Clinic of St Mary Church. Hey I had to do a litle of networking.

I moved from Mexico to Indy eight years ago, and I din't really know much about salsa dance, the only salsa I knew was the one on my tacos. My brother Luis started taking me to salsa nights at Madam Walker Theater, and I thought that salsa was very hard. I started taking salsa lessons two years ago but I didn't give much to it. I had a hard time learning. I started being more salsero last summer when I asked Carla, my dance partner to joing me for a salsa dance competition. She encoraged me more into the salsa dance. All I did was to be more natural and relaxed then I stared to like salsa mas y mas. Last year I won the thirt place of the 2007 IntoSalsa Dance Competition (amature division). It was a good experience. After couple of months, I won the first place of the 2007 salsa, merenge, bachata, regatton dance competition at the Jazz Kitchen. Right now I'm a member of the IntoSalsa Dance Company. It is very fun and exciting. If you ever need your car fixed or like to dance salsa or bachata let me know.
