Salsa dancing is a great way to socially
interact in Indianapolis. I have learned new styles such as Bachata
and new Salsa techniques as well since I have been dancing in Indy.
Even though dancing has been part of my culture as I grew up in El Salvador,
I feel very fortunate to have encountered in Indy a group of wonderful
people that have a passion for it.
It is amazing how quickly the Salsa scene has grown during the past
year I have been living in Indy, and I think that it will continue to
grow as time progresses. Erin and Yang fuel this venue with so much
energy, ingenuity and enthusiasm that the outcome of the Salsa scene
can only be measured exponentially.
I think that the rhythms of Latin music trigger a lot of passions which
get consumed in the dance floor, when one is dancing and transmits this
energy to our dance partners, through the sensuality of the Salsa steps.
This is why I think that everyone has a unique way of responding to
this energy and therefore applying a unique touch when we dance.
Apart from my engineering profession, dancing is the outlet I enjoy
the most, and it will continue as long as there are music and people
that enjoy it as much as I do.
