Yoshimi Shirota

I am from Japan and have lived in the United States since September 10, 2001, just one day before the 9/11! First, I lived in Michigan. I am new to Indianapolis, as I moved here in May 2004. This was the moment I met Salsa. Actually, I was looking to take a Flamenco dance class which I have practiced for 5 years. One day the Into salsa web site caught my eye, and I started taking Yang and Erin's lessons as soon as I found it. Since then I have got into salsa more and more and met a lot of nice, friendly people there. Meeting many salseros and salseras in Indy has made my new life here very cheerful and fun!! Every time I listen to salsa music, I can't stop dancing and I always become full of energy. I don't even realize my fatigue while dancing at the salsa clubs. As you know, Salsa is really addicting and contagious; Salsa dance fever is becoming widespread not only here, but also in my country, Japan. Salsa is like a universal language through music and body movement that enables us to communicate with people from all over the world!! It is boundless!! I really appreciate Yang and Erin for giving me another communication skill, Salsa dance! I want to keep dancing forever wherever I will be in the future!
