Maby Velez

Dr. Maby Velez or simply "Maby" as she prefers to be called is a native of Borinquen, the land of the Tainos in the Caribbean region.

She has found in Salsa her passion, the ADOBO, the SAZON, and the AZUCAR that her life enjoys to the fullest. Salsa and its circle of Salseros and Salseras complement her as a human being, a professional, a Mother, a Friend, and a Dancer.

Her passion for dancing is natural as well as her movements. However, due to many tragedies in her life, she was not able to dance for a while. It was about two years ago with the help of a dearest Latino friend, who she considers one of the best dancers she has ever known, that she suddenly re-appeared. Since then, she has re-discovered many aspects of her life thanks to this "salsa addiction," as she likes to label this phenomenon.

Her favorites pieces to dance are the Bachatas (the Dominican Style as she names it)and Pure and the Old Salsa.
