Erin Horner
After a brief encounter with Salsa dancing
during a girls' weekend in Chicago, I really wanted to find it closer
to home. So, last July, I dragged my friends to the Jazz Kitchen to
learn how to Salsa. Boris, the most polite man I've ever met, was my
first victim that night
I thought he was an instructor and he gladly
played along! I was hoping to find a stress reliever and an escape from
everyday life
I found that and more!
I love Salsa, but even more, I love the people who love Salsa. I enjoy
the classy look of the ladies, the respectful-nature of the men, and
the opportunity to meet wonderful people from all over the world. I
am most thankful for those who have been kind enough to allow me to
learn "on the fly." Between work, travel, and my two boys,
I do not make it every week or to many dance classes. However, this
may change as Salsa reveals more and more of what it has to offer
education,
exercise, friendship, and fun!
