Bridget La Marca
Hello to all of my Salsa friends in Indy.....let
me tell you all a little about me!!!
I was born and raised in New York and although never formerly trained
in dance. I come from a "dancing family". I always remember the many
parties and celebrations through the years and "we" ( friends and family)
always danced to whatever: disco, swing, cha cha, hustle, waltz, mambo,
line dances. It wasn't until my late teens when I was introduced to
"Salsa dancing" and started going to the Latin clubs in NYC and found
one of my true loves!
Lost , but never forgotten. I went on to get my B.A., moved to Atlanta
to attend Chiropractic College, moved to Indianapolis, opened up my
practice and worked hard for most of the 90's. In 200l, I sold my clinic
to take some time off to rebalance my life. When I asked myself the
question "What used to bring me joy in my life?" It didn't take me long
to realize - "aha! Dancing and Movement!!"
SO, here I am, for the past four years enjoying my true love of Salsa
dancing along with ballroom dancing and teaching Yoga and Danskinetics.
I truly feel blessed and fortunate to have the opportunity to rekindle
the parts of my life that help me to feel connected with myself and
others.
From the very first time I walked into Madame Walker Theatre and Jazz
Kitchen, where I first met and danced with "TEE" and Yang, I knew that
Salsa dancing will always be part of my life. I love sharing the PULSE,
the BEAT, the RHYTHM, and the DANCE with ALL of YOU, my salsa friends.
Thanks for being a part of my life!
