Barbara Whiteside

I was born and raised in Indiana. I started dancing in February 2005. One day I realized that there were many things I wanted to achieve in my life, so I pursued acting via community theatre. While looking for auditions I came across an ad for latin dancing @ the Jazz Kitchen. The following Thursday I was on the dance floor, every since then dancing has been a major part of my life. Shortly after I started dancing, I joined a rueda group that taught me the basic fundamentals of salsa dancing. Since I have been dancing I have made so many friends and could not ask for a better group of people to create so many memories with. Since I started salsa dancing I can truly say that I am doing what I love and living my life to the fullest. I must say the most rewarding part of discovering latin music, culture, and dance is the the opportunity to share it with my 2 children. I am proud to say that my children are being raised knowing that dancing is not just part of life, dancing is a way of life..
