IntoSalsa Latin Dance Studio is located in Downtown Indianapolis. We offer private and group Latin dance lessons. IntoSalsa is also a promoter for Salsa dancing in Central Indiana. We provide dance instructors, performers, and DJs to night clubs, corporate events, weddings, and festivals.

What's New

We celebrated Cinco de Mayo in style at El Meson on Saturday, May 3rd. We had a record number of attendence as people enjoyed a night of food, drinks, music, and dancing. Remember Cinco de Mayo last year at Club Level? It was the same flavor, but this year is only bigger and better: live Salsa music by Salsa and Company, free Mexican buffet, free beer provided by Budweiser, event photographer Larry Gindhart, plus a great Rueda performance by OpenSourceSalsa. Click here to watch their performance. Click here for pictures from the party.

Good News! We are offering a new beginner Salsa Belly Dance class in June. The classes are on Tuesdays from 6-7pm starting June 10th. You'll learn a choreographed routine with footwork, hand & arm styling, and body isolation, with an option to perform. $90/person for 8 weeks. For the first time, we're offering a $10 discount for high school and college students. Don't forget to check out our performance at the Indiana Festival on June 8th. Click here to sign up now!

As a salsa dancer I have always felt that it was not necessarily the skill level of the lead that made the dance enjoyable for me, but the level of enthusiasm that my partner had about dancing. So many men are obsessed with getting the moves and looking cool that they forget to have fun. There are many times that I have been dancing at the club and have felt like I am the prop for the man to launch himself off of – a little rag doll for him to manipulate while he basks in the light of his own magnificence. Move-obsessed leads are not a new problem to Indianapolis, or anywhere else you find salsa dancers. However, the problem has endured so long that it has essentially become part of the definition of what it is to dance with a lead from Indy.  It is “our style” of dancing.  Click here to read Erin's new column.

In February 26th's Indianapolis Star, Tiffany Robinson acknowledges that she's addicted. But it's a good compulsion -- one that helps her stay healthy, keeps her body and her mind in high gear and gives her a creative outlet. "I'm a salsa addict," said the 38-year-old Indianapolis woman during IntoSalsa's dance party at the Red Room in Broad Ripple. Robinson, clinical operations director for the Gennesaret Free Clinic, hits the floor at least two or three times a week. Click here to read the article Dancing: Stepping up workouts.
