The Top 10 Things a Guy Does Not Want to Hear on the Dance Floor

Listen up, ladies. I've heard you complain that you can't find a good man to dance with, but consider this: Maybe it's something you're putting out there that is pushing them away, or even more likely, it's something you've said. Thank you, Salseros, for your assistance with this list. And ladies, if you are guilty of saying any of these comments, please remember that they can be hurtful, or you can continue with your men-repellant approach to Salsa and enjoy your place in the wait line next to the floor!

10. "Hmmm. . . you are not Latino. Are you sure you know how to Salsa? It's a Latin dance."

9. "Of course, I'll dance with you. But could you buy me a drink first?"

8. "Is it okay if we stop dancing?" (comment made mid-song) "My friend just walked in. I'll catch you later."

7. "I don't think you're strong enough to dip me; don't try any fancy stuff."

6. "I can't dance with you right now. Ow! I just hurt my leg." (Five minutes later she is up and dancing).

5. "Hey, do you know that guy? He's amazing! You should dance more like him. "

4. "I'm not really looking for a boyfriend. So, maybe you shouldn't touch me when we dance."

3. "Do something fancy! Make me look like one of those Dirty Dancers!"

2. "I will only turn when I am ready to turn."

1. "I'm sorry. I can't dance with you like how we normally dance tonight. My husband is here."
