IntoSalsa was founded by Yang Xiao and Erin Lamb. As partners, Yang and Erin have been dancing together since 2002. They've performed and captivated thousands of audiences in Central Indiana. In summer 2003, they started teaching Salsa at several locations in Indianapolis. As their clientel grew, Yang and Erin opened IntoSalsa Latin Dance Studio in Spring of 2005. IntoSalsa went on to create the IntoSalsa Dance Company, the first of its kind in Indianapolis.

In the last six years, IntoSalsa has been responsible for:

• Teaching thousands of people to dance salsa, through weekly classes;
• Organizing Salsa and Latin dance parties at various clubs;
• Raising over $10,000 for Hurricane Katrina relief, Southeast Asia Tsunami relief, China & Peru Earthquake relief funds, and other local charities;
• Co-promoting Latin events, including Fiesta's 'Latino Idol', Mujer Latina Fashion Show, and NSHMBA Salsa De Mayo;
• Performing at various prestigious events, including Governor Mitch Daniels' Inauguration Ball, Indiana Pacers Halftime Show, Fiesta Indianapolis, and Chicago International Salsa Congress.
